<br>The TRAXX 2 series is a further development of the TRAXX 1 series, from which it differs visually only in its crash-optimized locomotive body. The locomotive also differs from its predecessor in terms of sound; while the TRAXX 1 series emits a constant tone up to 17 km/h, the TRAXX 2 series plays a musical scale up to 16 km/h. The first locomotive from the new TRAXX 2 series was delivered to DB Cargo on January 14, 2005, in the form of a 185.2.<br>
